Arguing (analyzing, supporting) a position
In this essay, you will argue either for or against your given position based on the stated opinion.
For the purpose of this paper, you will take a side. Your grade will be judged by your openness to
consider the opposing point of view and then to strengthen your own.
Many changes will likely occur in global health care in the next 30 years. Be it
in cure or in prevention, we will see many developments. You can approach
the issue from: What is Necessary, What is Cost Effective, What is
Projectable, What can be Globalized. We are considering values, need, costs,
possibilities, and geographical extent.

from the library, or from the Internet. If this is not an article from class; provide a printed
section of the article that you have used. There are to be no quotations in this essay.
• You will need to accredit (document) this source in the body of the text as a citation and
list the source at the end of the paper as a reference. The two things go together.
• You should also be careful to introduce any summaries or paraphrases properly. (handout

good essay.
• The writing will be done in class and you may feel free to bring in your sources. All late
