Assignment Details:
The research paper is an 8-10 page long argumentative research essay in which you use at least five library sources. These sources should be a combination of at least two of the following sources: books, online database articles, magazine and newspaper articles, videos/films, lectures, interviews, surveys and/or scholarly/academic web sites (I do not allow students to use .com or .net websites without my approval. Please note .gov sites are fine to use).
The topic you choose must be of rigorous intellectual content that requires you to do significant research, reading, synthesizing, analyzing, and drawing your own unique and logical conclusions.
It must be argumentative in nature. It must have two sides, and be verifiable through objective, non-emotional criteria that is intellectual and academic. You will take a position and argue one side, but must have thorough knowledge of the opposing view in order to craft an effective rebuttal in your body paragraphs.
